Unleashing The Power Of Women: How Stephanie Gilbert’s Mentors Helped Shape Her Journey To Become A Top Mental Health Therapist

When it comes to chasing our dreams, we all need a little bit of inspiration from the people we look up to the most. For Stephanie Gilbert, LMFT, that inspiration came from the women in her family, who taught her the true meaning of strength and independence.

With their unwavering support and encouragement, Stephanie has become a successful mental health therapist, running her own private practice, Stephanie Gilbert and Associates, LLC. Her inspiring journey reflects female empowerment. Whoever has been inspired by the strong women in their lives will surely resonate with it.

Through Stephanie’s expertise in psychotherapy and dedication to helping others, she has made a name for herself in the field. Her private practice reflects her success and is a testament to what can be achieved when you have the right role models to guide you along the way.

Growing up without a father, Stephanie always thought of her mother as a superwoman. The strong and independent women of Stephanie’s maternal lineage have left an indelible mark on her life and career, empowering her to become a leading mental health therapist. Her great-grandmother founded Crawford’s Shoe Company, producing baby shoes during The Great Depression (1929-1939). The business gained so much popularity that one of the children of two top actors, Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz, wore their shoes for a magazine shoot.

Likewise, Stephanie’s great-grandmother expanded the business and made baby clothes too. Later, her grandparents took over this successful venture. Stephanie’s grandfather died when she was just a toddler, so she only remembers her grandmother working in the factory with other female laborers, handcrafting the products.

Stephanie has fond memories of playing and dancing with her grandmother in the factory when all the other workers would leave. Her mother could not continue this family business, but she worked closely with Stephanie’s stepfather to run his venture, which they eventually sold after retiring.

Running a successful business is in Stephanie’s blood. She first shared the idea of starting her private practice in California after completing her Master’s degree in clinical psychology. Her family encouraged and supported her without questioning her abilities. She established her private practice, Stephanie Gilbert and Associates, LLC., during the COVID-19 pandemic and continues to run it successfully.

Being a telehealth licensed therapist originally from California, Stephanie has completed 3000 hours of practice – these are the most hours required for licensure compared to any other US state. She has earned certifications in CBT from the Beck Institute in Philadelphia and in EMDR from EMDRIA. Stephanie offers online therapy to patients in California and Florida. Other than that, she helps associates complete their licensure hours so they can run their private practice.

Stephanie’s great-grandmother established a successful business during the worst economic conditions to support the US economy. She is motivated to follow in her great-grandmother’s footsteps by helping her patients cure anxiety and depression after the deadly pandemic. Women like them are a nation’s asset who strive to make a positive impact by uplifting other women to help them chase their dreams.
