  1. First of all, do not boil the water that you are going to pour into your cup or kettle. Even if they are dried, green tea leaves are fragile.
  2. Depending on the variety, it is advisable to infuse it in the water at 70 or 80 degrees. If you pour too hot water on green tea, it affects its taste. This can become slightly acidic.
  3. Likewise, the first infusion should not exceed 5 minutes, the ideal time is around 3 minutes.
  4. If you really enjoy your green tea, know that you can infuse the leaves 2 or 3 times, but each time the theine level decreases.
  5. If you do not like theine, the best is to prepare the first cup, empty it after 5 minutes then add water to infuse before drinking your green tea.
  6. Some varieties of green tea can also be drunk cold. It suffices to infuse them for 24 hours in a glass container in the refrigerator. The resulting drink can be stored there for between 24 and 48 hours.

Your dried green tea leaves don’t like humidity. The best way to protect them is to store them in an airtight tin box. Place it in a closed cupboard as this prevents light and possible strong variations in temperature from affecting the quality and taste of green tea.

It all depends on what type of green tea you choose and how you brew it. However, all green teas contain theine. They, therefore, present a more or less high risk of influencing your falling asleep.
